Okay Ladies and Gentlemen, it's that time of the year again, and I have been looking forward to bringing back my old recaps from back in the day. So Let's get in started:
In our first week, there were a large amount of underperformers. Also alot of free agents with big weeks. I'm interested to see how our waivers go this week.
In game one, My Team Die Brady Die continued it's rip roaring point making abilities from last year with with a blistering 91 points! oh wait, what's that you say? lowest point total for the week? Really? You sure? welll okay... With my epic 5 points from Fantasy football team cancer Lee Evans and ...Speaking of the Bills...
Really? Really? Only the Bills I swear to frigging GAWD!...
... Back to our reagularly scheduled program... and overall disastrous performances from old man kurt Warner, Greg "where's Kyle?" Olsen, and The lovely Dallas D, I was upended by the upstart Team Dirty Sanchezes (Sanchez looked good this week... BE AFRAID AFC EAST!!!!) with a wicked six TD performance by Drew "Screw Damoci in both of his leagues" Brees.
In game two, Pizza the Hutt sent out for a whopping 135 point and Team Ochoseis (better by one!) had a couple of dissapointing starts but still turned in a respectable 107 point. Hey at least you hit triple digits! Big weeks by the never eaging Greg jennigns and grumble grumble grumble Tom Brady... grumble grumble grumble.... Gave pizza the win in the end!
In game three, GFl had the MONSTER game from John Carlson catapult him to a win over the first-time in our league Somerset Maniacs... Hey I live in Somerset too! Isn't that crazy?!? I think the crazy thing is when you have a week like you did from a guy that can do things like this:
... and still come away with the loss... wow. The Maniacs will expect more than a combined 12 points from Darius McFadden and Slaton in the weeks to come.
In the next game from week 1, in the most suspenseful game of the week, Team BK squeaked off a win over the upstart Chicago Predators by one point.... ONE POINT!!!!! a couple more yards here or there and there would have been a tie. Felix Jones and Matt Forte combined for 7 points... that's not a winning week. I would expect bigger games from them in the future however.
In the final week 1 game, the Colonia Patriots took out Team Vulgar Emoticon 113 to 110. In yet another close game, the Patriots overcame a couple of bad performances from Antonio Bryant, Anquan Boldin, and Braylon Edwards, to take out the emotidong and their SIX players in single digits. DOH!!!!
Wierd note of the week, not ONE Denver Bronco was played by any of us. This is what happens when we omit a team:
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! OH GAWD!!!!!! THAT'S THE END OF THIS WEEK'S RECAP!!!! UNTIL NEXT WEEK!!!
Non-football note of the week:
Anyone else think I should do something similar to this when I leave my job in Manhattan?
So here in the last hour of my birthday, I find myself contemplating my twenty-nine years that I have so far been blessed with on the earth. I was doing alot of running around today, as I was driving back from a barbecue that I went to Down in Maryland, and I didn't get a chance to reflect until just now. I felt that I wanted to take these last few minutes of my birthday to think about why I should be thankful. I guess what I am most grateful for is my luck in having so many friends and family that truly make me a happy man, when I could be far from that.
From those of you whom I work with that just "get me" and never fail to bring a smile to my face every day, to those of you who have me over for amazing Sunday dinners of chicken parm and pick up hoodies for me from my favorite football team, to those of you who I have truly and honestly grown up with and went to school with and never once, no matter how long sometimes it was that we went without hanging out, lost our hilarity together. From those of you who moved across country, but is still so very close to me in my heart, to those whom I have watched grow up from little babies and are turning into people I am proud to be the uncle of. From those of you that watched me grow up and whom I looked up to and Still, to this day, look up to, to those of you whom I met in college and helped me become the man I am today. To my parents, who have worked SO HARD in their life to give everything they could possibly give to their children. To my wife, who loves me and gives me the self-confidence I never thought I would have.
To all of you, I simply want to say thank you for giving me joy and happiness and love and friendship. Thank you for making my life a simple joy. If any of you know me, I am always into new tech and new video games and new crazy shit on youtube. But to those of you that truly know me, you know that none of that really matters to me if I didn't have such a wonderful group of family and friends to share it with.
So this is my Birthday present to me. A reminder of how blessed I have been these past twenty-nine years. I can only hope and pray that the next 29 are as good as these have been.
Love ,
Chris

Apparently, i missed this by sheer minutes. as soon as I got on my train, I started getting phone calls from family and friends going "Are you okay?" and at the time I had no idea what happened. Story is, an eighty-year old steam pipe exploded from pressure blowing up lexington Ave. and I just happen to have a video:
